BIG RAPIDS, Mich. - Ferris State University's Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) men's and women's basketball doubleheader against Lake Superior State scheduled for today has been pushed to Sunday, Jan. 28, inside FSU's Jim Wink Arena.
The league twinbill was originally delayed and moved back to later this afternoon due to the closure of the Mackinac Bridge, however the Lakers' bus broke down en route from Sault Ste. Marie this morning and their arrival time is still in doubt.
Thus, the league showdown will begin on Sunday starting at 1 p.m. (ET) with the "Fight For First" men's game followed by the women's contest at 3 p.m. (ET).
The Mackinac Bridge was closed early Friday afternoon due to falling ice and high winds and the Lake Superior State basketball squads were not able to cross into the Lower Peninsula on Friday prior to the bus trouble this morning.
