Patton places second in the triple jump at GLIAC Championship
HILLSDALE - Taylor Patton placed second in the women's triple jump to highlight Lake Superior State's performances during the final day of competition at the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Track and Field Championship.
Patton hit a mark of 36-1 1/4 to finish second to Northern Michigan's Bailey Franklin (37-3). Laker teammate Katie Winiarski was seventh (30-0 1/4). Patton also placed fourth in the high jump, clearing 5-3 1/4.
Katie Scott finished fifth in the women's 5,000-meter run with a time of 18:01.62. Patrick Wright was sixth in the triple jump (43-11 3/4).
The LSSU men finished eighth among 11 teams, while the Laker women were 10th.
