Jonathon Allen earns All-America honors

NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced on Monday the 278 student-athletes that will receive USTFCCCA All-America honors in Division II. A total of 352 awards will be presented to the 278 individuals as a result of a national top-eight finish in last weekend’s NCAA Indoor Championships in Albuquerque, N.M.

Adams State’s men won their first NCAA Division II indoor track & field national title last weekend and lead all with 18 recipients of the All-America award. Saint Augustine’s claimed 72 points for second and picked up 15 All-America honors.

On the women’s side, Lincoln (Mo.) carried the day and scored 56 points to win their second-consecutive indoor national title. Ashland and Grand Valley State notched 47 apiece to tie for second. Grand Valley State topped all women’s teams with 16 All-America honorees, eight of which came from top-eight placings in each of the relays.
