Six Lakers score in double figures against Finlandia
ALBION, Mich. - Six players scored in double figures for the Lake Superior State men's basketball team during Friday's 105-63 victory over Finlandia during the semifinal round of the Albion Tournament.
The Lakers (3-1) play either Albion or Kenyon in the championship game at 4 p.m. Saturday.
Andrew Charlesworth scored 19 points, and Micah Hudson added 16 points and five assists to lead LSSU. Cameron Metz scored 14 points, followed by Derek Kinney with 13 points and seven rebounds. Rounding out the double-figure scorers were Kyle Hunt with 12 points, and Justin Williams with 11 points and nine rebounds.
LSSU shot 51.4 percent from the field, including 8-of-19 from three-point range. The Lakers made 21-of-30 free throws and out-rebounded Finlandia, 54-36.
Tyler Koski scored 19 points to lead Finlandia (0-3).
