Hunt is named to the All-GLIAC Pre-Season First Team

BAY CITY - League coaches voted Lake Superior State senior guard Kyle Hunt to the All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference North Division Pre-Season First Team, and the Lakers were picked to fourth in the GLIAC North Division Pre-Season Poll, which was announced Wednesday.

Last Friday's exhibition game against Grace Bible College marked the return to the lineup for Hunt, who missed the last 10 games of the 2010-11 season due to an injury to the face. Despite missing more than one-third of his season, Hunt earned All-GLIAC Second Team honors. He was among the GLIAC’s top three scorers at the time of his injury and averaged 16.9 points and 4.9 rebounds per game.

Michigan Tech, Grand Valley State and Ferris State were ranked first, second and third, respectively, in the North Division. Findlay and Hillsdale were the top two South Division picks.

The GLIAC North Division Pre-Season First Team also included Northern Michigan senior center Jared Benson, Saginaw Valley State senior guard Greg Foster, Michigan Tech junior forward Ali Hadar and Grand Valley State senior guard James Thomas.
