Billing is GLIAC Player of the Week after scoring 41 at UKW

BAY CITY - Lake Superior State senior guard Derek Billing was
named Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference North
Division Player of the Week following his 41-point performance at
Kentucky Wesleyan on Nov. 27.
Billing, whose career-high 41 points led LSSU to a 104-90
victory at Kentucky-Wesleyan, was 14-of-20 from the field with
seven three-pointers and 6-of-7 at the free-throw line. It was a
two-point game with 7:38 left. Billing had a three-pointer, layup,
steal and two assists during a 15-5 run that put the Lakers up
90-78 with about three minutes remaining.
Heading into Thursday's GLIAC home opener against No. 8 Findlay,
Billing is averaging 21.5 points per game, ranking him seventh in
the GLIAC. He was named to the All-GLIAC Pre-Season First Team
after earning second-team honors in 2012-13.
Tiffin senior guard Joe Graessle was named South Division player
of the week after scoring 35 points against No. 18 Fort Lewis. He
is averaging 27.8 ppg.
