Men’s Basketball Hits the Road for Don Callan Classic

SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich.—The Laker Superior State men's basketball team will look continue its hot start to the 2017-18 season this weekend as they travel to Cedarville, Ohio to take part in the Don Callan Classic.

After opening the season with a pair of wins over No.24-ranked Kentucky Wesleyan and Alderson Broaddus last weekend, the Lakers are slated to take on non-conference Findlay on Friday evening (5:30 p.m.) and Cedarville on Saturday (5:15 p.m.)

Findlay owns a 3-0 record to open the season and enter Friday's match up as the No.20 ranked team in the country and defeated No.6 ranked Indiana-Pa in their season opener last weekend.

Cedarville is 0-2 to begin their 2017-18 campaign and will face Miami-Hamilton in their opening game.

After this weekend's action, Lake Superior will remain on the road as they play Delta State (Nov.24) and Shorter (Nov.25) in the Kentucky Wesleyan Thanksgiving Classic.

The Lakers return home Nov. 30 for a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Conference Matchup with Ashland at 7:30 p.m. inside the Bud Cooper Gymnasium.
