Dienes shoots Lakers' low score at Great Lakes Region Invitational

SOUTH HAVEN - P.J. Dienes tied for 90th with a two-day total of 78-80-158 to lead the Lake Superior State men's golf team at the Great Lakes Region Invitational held Sunday and Monday at Hawks Head Golf Course.

Sean Stubbs tied for 99th with a 81-80-161. Sean Green (80-83-163) and Bryan Clishe (79-84-163) were 104th, followed by Brent Vizina (84-80-164), who was 108th.

LSSU placed 21st among 24 teams. Wayne State beat Ferris State by three strokes to win the team title. Northern Kentucky's Danny Lewis fired a 68-67-135 to take medalist honors.
