Lakers take on stellar field at Indianapolis

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. - The Lake Superior State men's golf team took on an impressive field at the NCAA Regional No. 3 held Sunday at Monday at Purgatory Golf Club near Indianapolis.

The Lakers placed 22nd among 23 teams. Brent Vizina shot a 78-80--158 to tie for 75 and lead LSSU. Sean Green tied for 79th with a 76-83--159, while Sean Stubbs tied for 106th with a two-day total of 81-86--167.

P.J. Dienes (89-83--172) was 110th and Nathan Stump (85-88--173) was 111th.

Wayne State won the title with a team total of 580 strokes. Ferris State was second at 592. Findlay's Joe McGeean shot a 68-72--140 to take medalist honors.
