LSSU men's golf team opens season at SVSU

UNIVERSITY CENTER - The Lake Superior State men's golf team opened the 2009-10 season at the Al Watrous Memorial Intercollegiate hosted by Saginaw Valley State. It was the Lakers' first varsity golf outing since the 2004-05 season.

Brent Vizina tied for 44th place with a 54-hole total of 84-76-72--232. P.J. Dienes tied for 48th with a 78-78-79-235.

Sean Green (83-77-80-240) was 51st, Bryan Clishe (85-82-81-248) finished 53rd and Nathan Stump (84-81-84-249) placed 54th. LSSU was 11th among 11 teams.

The Lakers' next event is Sept. 20-21 in South Haven.
