Brent and Brandon Vizina land in the top 50 to lead Laker men
KINCHELOE - Brent Vizina improved his score from the previous day by one stroke to lead the Lake Superior State men's golf team during the final round of the LSSU Invitational held Sunday at The Oaks.
Vizina shot an 81-80--161 for the Lakers' low score and a tie for 46th place. Brandon Vizina tied for 48th with a 79-83--162 as LSSU placed 11th among 13 teams. Paul Dienes (80-86--166) tied for 58th, followed by Nathan Stump (81-89--170), who tied for 65th. Mike Caputo (85-86--171) tied for 68th.
Findlay won the team event with a score of 608. The Oilers edged Grand Valley State by one stroke. Saginaw Valley State's Nate Kelly was the medalist with a 71-72--143.
Non-scorers for LSSU were Andrew Doerr (83-83-166) and Robert Perry (81-88--169).
