Lakers place 11th among 13 teams at Northwood
MIDLAND - Freshman Doug Piesko and junior Sean Stubbs shot identical scores of 79-75--154 and tied for 33rd place among 87 golfers at the Northwood Invitational held Saturday and Sunday. LSSU placed 11th among 13 teams.
Mike Caputo (80-81--161) tied for 61st, while Brent Vizina (85-80--165) tied for 72nd. P.J. Dienes (86-81--167) tied for 77th to round out the Lakers' top five finishers.
Ashland's Jay Overy took medalist honors with a 69-72--141. Northwood won the team event.
The Lakers compete Sept. 25-26 in South Haven, Mich.
