Laker men place 16th at Hermitage

OLD HICKORY, Tenn. -- The Lake Superior State men's golf team placed 16th among 24 teams at the Music City Regional hosted Monday and Tuesday by Trevecca Nazarene.

The Lakers posted a 298-303--601 team score.

Joe Ericson tied for 41st place with a 4-over-par 72-75--148 to lead the Lakers. Sam Eberts was second for LSSU and tied for 53rd overall with a 75-75--150, and Gavin MacIver tied for 62nd at 75-76--151. Rounding out the field for Lake Superior State were Jason Kerr (75-77--152), who tied for 71st, and Zac Carson (78-78--156), who tied for 92nd.

Grand Valley State won the team event, finishing three strokes ahead of Indianapolis. Northwood's Matt Garland carded the tournament's low round of 67, while Ferris State's Andrew Hammett and Bellarmine's James Inman tied for medalist honors at 4-under.
