Acton signs professional contract with Toronto Marlies
TORONTO - Lake Superior State senior forward Will Acton has signed a contract with the Toronto Marlies of the AHL and will make his professional debut tonight at the Syracuse Crunch.
Acton was the Lakers' third-leading scorer this season with 9-15--24 in 34 games and has a four-year career total of 32-45--77. He missed five games earlier this season due to illness.
Annoucements regarding seniors Rick Schofield, Tyson Hobbins, Chad Nehring and Dillin Stonehouse are expected soon.
Toronto is currently third in the Western Conference North Division and trails first-place Manitoba by two points. Ten games remain in the regular season.
