Kapalka among CCHA Awards Banquet honorees

DETROIT - Lake Superior State freshman goaltender Kevin Kapalka was among the honorees at Thursday's Central Collegiate Hockey Association Awards Banquet held at the Fox Theatre.

Tynan, who led the nation in rookie scoring, was named CCHA Rookie of the Year.

Kapalka, who totaled 900 saves, and had a .924 save percentage and 2.34 goals-against average, was the fourth leading vote getter for CCHA Goaltender of the Year honors.
