MichiganCollegeHockey.com awards
DETROIT, Mich. – Two Lake Superior State University hockey players were awarded spots on the MichiganCollegeHockey.com (MiCHO) teams.
All-MiCHO First Team included Laker senior Rick Schofield. Schofield played in 39 games during the 2010-11 season and totaled 17-18—35, leading the Lakers in points. During his four years as a Laker he posted 51-53—104 points during 144 games.
Sophomore Zach Trotman (6-14—20) and freshman goaltender Kevin Kapalka (12-12-8) also received votes.
Kapalka was named to the MiCHO All-Rookie Team with a 12-12-8 record overall. Kapalka recorded four shutouts during the 2010-11 season. He had a 2.34 goals-against average and a .924 save percentage.
Freshman Kyle Jean (1-13—14) also received votes for the all-rookie team.
