Nelson, Demps win first-round matches at GVSU

ALLENDALE - Robert Nelson and Steve Demps posted first-round singles victories, and Nelson and Pawel Wegrzyn won their first-round doubles match Friday during the opening day of competition at the Grand Valley State Men's Tennis Invitational.

Wegrzyn, Travis Toth and Craig Baas suffered first-round singles losses. LSSU results are listed below.

Steve Demps (LSSU) def. Zack Chapin (GRCC), 7-6 (5-0), 6-2
