Men's tennis wins 6-3 on home court
SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. – The Lake Superior State men’s tennis team defeated Michigan Tech, 6-3, at the Arbuckle Student Activity Center Friday. LSSU is now 6-8 overall and 2-3 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
“We really played a focused match today," said LSSU coach Tom Linhart. "We dug in our heals after going down 2-1 in doubles and really fought in the singles. It’s always a good sign when you can fight from behind.”
The Lakers were 5-1 in singles competition. The only Laker doubles team to win was No. 3 doubles duo of Sergui Laza and Travis Toth, 8-2.
The Lakers will be home again April 10-11. Both matches will be at 11 a.m.
