Tennis falls to No. 12 Northwood

MIDLAND, Mich. - The Lake Superior State men's tennis team was defeated by No. 12 Northwood, 7-2, in a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match Friday.

The Laker No. 2 doubles team of Robert Nelson (Grand Blanc, Mich.) and Brandon Clayton (Windsor, Ont.) posted an 8-6 victory over Northwood. Nelson and Clayton improved to 2-1 in the conference. Travis Toth (St. Johns, Mich.) and Sergiu Laza (Toronto, Ont.) won 9-8 at No. 3 doubles. Toth and Laza also improved their record to 2-1 in the GLIAC.

LSSU is 5-7 overall, 1-2 in the GLIAC. They play at Wayne State at noon Saturday.
