Men’s tennis improves to 1-1 in Florida
ORLANDO, Fla. - The Lake Superior State men's tennis team won its first match in Florida, 5-4, against Walsh University Tuesday.
LSSU's No. 3 doubles team of Brandon Clayton (Windsor, Ont.) and Robert Nelson (Grand Blanc, Mich.) gave the Lakers the victory with an 8-6 win. At No. 2, Travis Toth and Pawel Wegrzyn pulled out a 9-8 win with a 7-3 tie-breaker victory.
The teams split in singles. Toth and Nelson were undefeated for the day.
The Lakers (1-3 overall) will play South Dakota State Wednesday.
