Lakers sweep Lake Erie
SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. - Lake Superior State defeated Lake Erie, 9-0, during a home men's tennis match Friday at the Arbuckle Student Activity Center. The Lakers won their first home Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match of the season and improved to 2-6 in the GLIAC and 3-16 overall.
LSSU's No. 1 doubles team of Brandon Clayton (Windsor, Ont.) and Sergiu Laza (Toronto, Ont.) are 6-4 during their last 10 doubles matches. They are on a three match win streak.
The Lakers continue their homestand at 10 a.m. Saturday when they take on Ohio Dominican.
Lake Erie fell to 1-10 overall and 0-8 in the GLIAC.
