Lakers lose last home match
SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. - Lake Superior State concluded the regular season with a 5-4 loss to Ohio Dominican Saturday at the Arbuckle Student Activity Center. The Lakers are 2-17 overall and 2-7 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, and will head into next week's GLIAC Tournament as the No. 7 seed.
At No. 1 singles, Sergiu Laza (Toronto, Ont.) defeated ODU, 7-5, 6-1. Brandon Clayton (Windsor, Ont.) defeated Ohio Dominican 7-5, 6-4. At No. 5 singles, Ryne DuShane (Holland, Mich.) won, 6-4, 6-1. Jack Miller and Dane Fosgard claimed an 8-5 win at No. 3 doubles.
ODU improved to 4-5 in the GLIAC and 7-11 overall.
