Laza and Clayton win at No. 1 doubles

HOUGHTON, Mich. - The Lake Superior State men's tennis team fell short at Michigan Tech on April 6, losing 7-2. The Lakers are now 1-6 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and 2-16 overall.

LSSU's No. 1 doubles team of Sergiu Laza (Toronto, Ont.) and Brandon Clayton (Windsor, Ont.) defeated Michigan Tech, 8-5. Clayton and Laza improved their doubles record to 10-7 overall.

Freshman Ryne DuShane (Holland, Mich.) was successful at No. 5 singles, winning 6-4, 6-4.

The Lakers finish out their season at home against Lake Erie, April 8, and Ohio Dominican, April 9.

MTU improved to 7-7 overall and 3-3 in the GLIAC.
