Lakers are 1-1 during the GLIAC Tourney
MIDLAND, Mich. - Lake Superior State University defeated Findlay, 5-1, Saturday during the consolation round of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Tournament.
The Lakers won all three doubles sets. Sergiu Laza and Brandon Clayton at No. 1 doubles, and Robert Nelson and Travis Toth at No. 2 defeated Findlay 8-4. Jack Miller and doubles partner Dane Fosgard at No. 3 won, 8-5.
Toth and Joao Gaberiel-Oliveira gave LSSU wins during singles play. Toth won 6-1, 6-1, while Gaberiel-Oliveira won 3-6, 6-1, 6-4.
The Lakers will continue tournament play April 17 at 9 a.m. against Michigan Tech.
