Indianapolis defeats men's and women's tennis

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Lake Superior State men's and women's tennis teams lost duals at the University of Indianapolis Tennis Center Sunday. The Laker men's team lost 6-3, while the women were defeated 8-1.

Pedro Nunes and Ryne DuShane continued their win streak in singles play with wins over Indianapolis.

Nunes defeated UIndy 6-3, 7-5 at No. 1 singles to extend his win streak to five matches. DuShane leads the Lakers with eight straight wins including a 7-5, 6-0 victory over UIndy at No. 6 singles.

The men's third win over Indianapolis came from the No. 1 duo of Grant Link and Nunes, winning UIndy 8-4.

In women's play the Lakers' lone win came at No. 1 doubles. Erin Anderson-Scott and Sarah Awe defeated Indianapolis 8-4.

Men's and women's tennis play Southern Indiana Feb. 25 at 10 a.m.
