Armstrong, a 6-0 forward from Haslett, Mich., averaged 17.7 points per game to rank second in the GLIAC in scoring. She also ranked 15th in the league in rebounding at 5.7 rebounds per game.

Armstrong finished her career with 1,436 points, which ranks eighth on LSSU's career scoring list. Armstrong, an ESPN "The Magazine" First Team Academic All-American, also totaled 564 career rebounds.

VanderWal, a 6-3 center from Allendale, Mich., led the GLIAC in field-goal percentage at .641 and averaged 10.9 points per game. She was the league's fifth-ranked rebounder at 8.4 rebounds per game, 10th in free-throw percentage at .830 and second in blocked shots at 2.3.

She totaled 778 career points and 616 career rebounds. Her 259 rebounds this season ranks fourth on LSSU's all-time single-season list. Her career field-goal percentage of .614 ranks second on LSSU's all-time list behind Becky Marquardt-King.

VanderWal, who was named to the ESPN "The Magazine" District IV All-Academic Third Team, joins senior Tim VanOudheusden as the first two Laker basketball players to go through LSSU's nursing program.

Both Armstrong and VanderWal are three-time GLIAC All-Academic Team honorees.
