LSSU-NMU basketball games postponed

SAULT STE. MARIE - Today's men's and women's basketball games between Lake Superior State and Northern Michigan have been postponed until Thursday, Jan. 31.

The LSSU and NMU women's teams will play at 5:30 p.m., and the men's game will follow at 7:30 p.m. at Bud Cooper Gymnasium.

The LSSU women's team is 8-12 overall and 4-8 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference following Saturday's six-point loss to Ashland. NMU (8-11 overall, 3-8 GLIAC) defeated Findlay 74-65 at home last Saturday.

The LSSU men (5-12 overall, 4-8 GLIAC) snapped a four-game losing skid with last weekend's 96-88 victory over the Eagles. NMU (5-14 overall, 5-6 GLIAC) suffered a 26-point loss to the 11th-ranked Oilers last Saturday.

LSSU and NMU are meeting for the first time this season.
