Laker women's golf team competes in inaugural match

BIG RAPIDS - The Lake Superior State women's golf program made its debut at the Bulldog Women's Invitational Sunday and placed 17th among 18 teams.

Meredith Cleary shot an 89-109-198 to tie for 86th place overall and lead the Lakers. LSSU's field also included Louise Hunt (105-103-208), Emma Borgerding (103-109-212), Lauren Roberts and Brittany Baril.

The Lakers compete Tuesday and Wednesday at Grand Valley State.
