Lakers finish eighth in GLIAC Championship
ASHLAND, Ohio - Lake Superior State placed seventh among eight teams while making its second appearance in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women's Golf Championships, which were held Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Country Club of Ashland.
Freshman Samantha Gubbins shot a 90-92-96--278 and tied for 25th to lead LSSU. Freshman Dayna Drewes tied for 28th with a 98-93-95--286, and rookie Amanda Garcia was 31st with a 94-99-98--291.
Grand Valley State won the team title with 966 points. Ashland's Erin Misheff took medalist honors at 14-over. She carded a 77-73-80--230.
