Women's golf team opens spring season at NKU
PERRY PARK, Ky. - Lake Superior State opened the spring portion of the 2010-11 women's golf season at the Spring Fling hosted by Northern Kentucky University. The Lakers finished 21st among 23 teams with a two-day total of 389-371-760. DePauw University won the tournament.
Samantha Gubbins led the Lakers with a 97-88--185 on the par-72 Perry Park Golf Course. She placed 97th, while Dayna Drewes (97-88--185) was 110th. Amanda Garcia (98-89--187) was 113th, and Meredith Cleary (102-107-209) was 125th.
The Lakers compete April 16 at Northwood.
