Two Lakers place in the top 30 at Findlay
FINDLAY, Ohio - Lake Superior State sophomore Nikki Bouwens, who was out most of last season due to injury, tied for 20th to lead the Laker women's golf team at the Findlay Invitational held Sunday and Monday at Findlay Country Club.
Bouwens shot an 80-82--162. Freshman Megan Henry also placed among the top 30. She tied for 28th with an 85-81--166. Sophomore Samantha Gubbins was 59th with an 87-91--178.
Grand Valley State, led by medalist Sarah Hoffman, won the 15-team event.
The Lakers close out the fall portion of their season Oct. 22-23 at GVSU.
