Henry ties for 10th at Ferris State
BIG RAPIDS - The Lake Superior State women's golf team opened the 2011-12 season with a seventh-place finish at the nine-team Bulldog Invitational hosted by Ferris State.
Freshman Megan Henry shot the low score for the Lakers, firing a 78-76--154 to tie for 10th place among 60 golfers. Her two-day total is currently the lowest ever by a Laker women, beating the 161 shot by sophomore Dayna Drewest last season.
Drewes tied for 31st with an 83-84--167, while sophomores Nicole Bouwens and Samantha Gubbins tied for 39th with 174s. Freshman Halley Borseth rounded out the top five with a 187.
The Lakers compete Oct. 9-10 at Findlay.
