Cooper Classic is Sept. 6

SAULT STE. MARIE - The annual Bud Cooper Golf Classic, an 18-hole scramble that benefits Lake Superior State women's athletics, will be held on Saturday, Sept. 6, at the Sault Municipal Golf Course.

The event will be limited to 36 four-person teams or 144 individuals. It includes special events, dinner, refreshments on the course and a $10,000 hole-in-one contest.

The cost is $125 per person or $500 per team. The entry deadline is Saturday, Aug. 30. Entry forms are available at area golf courses and the Norris Center.
