Prep: Peterson was a four-year starting first baseman for 2010 Division 3 district champion Grass Lake High School. She was a two-time All-Cascade Conference and all-region honoree. In 2010, she batted .420 with 52 TBIs and five home runs, and was named to the Jackson Citizen Patriot Dream Team. She totaled 15 career home runs and 175 RBIs. She also earned all-conference honors in golf and was a four-time all-academic award winner.
