Women's tennis is defeated by Grand Valley

Allendale - The Lake State women's tennis fell to Grand Valley State, 9-0, Saturday in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The Lakers are now 2-3 overall and 1-3 in conference play.

Junior Katie Watchorn (Sault Ste. Marie, Mich.) lost in a third-set tiebreaker, 10-4, at No. 6 singles, which was the Lakers' closest match of the day.

The Lakers play home Oct. 2 against Ashland University at 2 p.m. in the Arbuckle Student Activity Center.
