LSSU finishes 0-3 at GLIAC Tournament
MIDLAND – Lake Superior State finished 0-3 at the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Tournament after falling 5-1 to Saginaw Valley State during Sunday's seventh-place match.
The Lakers' only winner was the No. 3 doubles team of Helen Sheridan and Kaitlynn Hutchinson, who beat SVSU's Courtney Heileman and Charlotte Wong, 8-5. Holly Daniel and Katie Watchorn lost a 9-8 heart-breaker at No. 2 doubles.
LSSU (5-11 overall, 3-8 GLIAC) also lost 5-0 to Grand Valley State during Friday's quarterfinal round and fell 5-0 to Ashland (9-5) during Saturday's consolation round.
