Ferris downs Lakers, 8-1
SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. - Lake Superior State's women's tennis team fell to Ferris State in a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match Saturday, 8-1.
LSSU's freshman doubles team of Tess Marton (Toronto, Ont.) and Kaitlynn Hutchinson (Cadillac, Mich.), defeated FSU at No. 3. They pulled out a tie-breaker, 9-8 (7-3).
The Lakers (3-4 overall, 1-4 GLIAC) will be home Oct. 1-3, playing Tiffin, Wayne State and Findlay in the Arbuckle Student Activity Center. Ferris State improved to 5-1 overall and 5-1 in the GLIAC.
