Watchorn and Hutchinson give LSSU only singles wins
UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - Lake Superior State women's tennis lost a Great Lake Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match to Saginaw Valley State, 6-3 Saturday, Oct. 9.
LSSU's Katie Watchorn (Sault Ste. Marie, Mich.) defeated SVSU at No. 3 singles, 7-5, 6-2. The Lakers only other win in singles was Kaitlynn Hutchinson (Cadillac, Mich.) at No. 6 singles, 6-2, 6-4.
Lake State's No. 3 doubles team of Tess Marton (Toronto, Ont.) and Hutchinson defeated SVSU, 8-6.
The Lakers are now 3-7 in the GLIAC, heading into their last regular season match against Michigan Tech Oct. 16.
