Marton earns All-GLIAC Honorable Mention

BAY CITY - Lake Superior State sophomore Tess Marton (Toronto, Ont.) earned All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honorable mention in women's tennis after finishing 11-5 in singles and 8-11 in doubles.

Marton was 1-0 at No. 2 singles and 10-5 in the No. 3 spot. She was paired with senior Andrienne DiVito at No. 1 doubles. Marton's overall won-loss record was second only to Wayne State's Yahsha Moore (9-1) at No. 3 singles. She was 6-5 against GLIAC competition. In doubles, Marton and DiVito were ranked eighth in the GLIAC overall at No. 1, and fifth in GLIAC play at 6-6.

Wayne State's Kristina Goranskaya was named GLIAC Player of the Year, while Northwood's Susana Alcaraz was named GLIAC Freshman of the Year.
