Lakers finish road stretch with a 6-3 victory
HILLSDALE, Mich. - Lake Superior State finished its road stretch with a 6-3 victory over the Hillsdale Chargers. The Lakers are now 8-3 overall and 3-3 in the Great Lakers Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
No. 2 doubles of Kaitlynn Hutchinson (Cadillac, Mich.) and Erin Anderson-Scott (Hamilton, New Zealand) won 8-1 over Hillsdale. Teodora Gavric (Windsor, Ont.) and doubles partner Holly Daniel (Zeeland, Mich.) took a 8-3 victory at No. 3 doubles.
Hutchinson shut down her singles opponent 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4. Daniel at No. 5 singles and Meagan (Munising, Mich.) at No. 6 singles defeated Hillsdale 6-0, 6-1. Tess Marton (Toronto, Ont.) was victorious at No. 3 singles 6-2, 6-1.
