Vote online to help Engle win pro sponsorship

SAULT STE. MARIE - Former Lake Superior State basketball player Evan Engle ('04), who is in his fourth season with the AVP (Association of Volleyball Professionals), is one of eight male candidates for the Paul Mitchell Hot Shot Season Award.

One male and one female player for the AVP Tour has a chance to win $5,000 in sponsorship for the 2010-11 season. A Paul Mitchell Hot Shot is a player ranked in the lower half of the draw who catches the fans' attention, either through relentless play on the beach or by their personalities off the court. The winner will be determined by online votes at the end of the 2010 AVP Nivea Tour season and will receive a one-year Paul Mitchell sponsorship, including cash consideration.

Evan is currently one of the top 50 AVP players. He is the son of LSSU volleyball coach Mark Engle.
