Athletes spread Laker spirit off the court as well

KNUCKLE-BUMPING BINGO – Elsie Thompson and Lake Superior State University volleyball player Jeanna Radzinski celebrate good luck during bingo night at War Memorial Hospital in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., on March 24. Radzinski and six fellow athletes were joining with residents of the hospital's long-term care for a weekly game night. An LSSU student-athlete advisory committee (SAAC) arranges visits throughout campus and into the surrounding community to boost university outreach and promote notions of good sportsmanship. Radzinski is a sophomore majoring in communication from Sterling Heights, Mich. Thompson is from the Sault and turns 100 in July.
