Timberwolves win Match 1 of back-to-back home-and-home contests
SAULT STE. MARIE - Northwood claimed Match 1 of back-to-back home-and-home volleyball contests against Lake Superior State by winning 25-17, 25-7, 25-17 Sunday at Bud Cooper Gymnasium.
Match 2 against the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference rival is at 7 p.m. Friday in Midland.
Nikki Stratelak totaled eight kills and had a .462 attack percentage to lead LSSU (4-8 overall, 2-6 GLIAC). Emily Snyder followed with four kills.
Northwood (5-7 overall, 3-5 GLIAC) was led by Tatjana Rajic, who totaled 11 kills, six service aces and four blocks. Rajic served all six aces during Set 2.
