Lakers are 1-2 during weekend road stretch
FINDLAY, Ohio - Lake Superior State closed out the first of two long volleyball road trips with a 3-0 loss at Findlay on Sunday. The Lakers finished 1-2 for the weekend, and head to Naperville, Ill., for next weekend's Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference vs. Great Lakes Valley Conference Crossover Tournament.
Findlay (6-11 overall, 3-9 GLIAC) defeated LSSU, 25-21, 25-17, 25-21. Jeanna Radzinski led the Lakers (5-11 overall, 3-8 GLIAC) with nine kills, two solo blocks and 11 service points. Emily Snyder followed with eight kills and a team-high .278 attack percentage. Janelle Balkwill turned in seven kills and 14 assists, while Marylou Drobish added 12 assists. Brittany Newberry led the Lakers in digs with 12.
Mackenzie Vorst totaled 12 kills and six digs to pace the Oilers.
