Groos receives All-GLIAC Honorable Mention

ALLENDALE - Lake Superior State's only senior on the women's volleyball team, Jamie Groos, received All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Honorable Mention.
Groos, a middle hitter from Escanaba, Mich., played all-around for the first time in her collegiate career and led the Lakers in kills with 285 and serve percentage at .970. She was second on the team in digs with 297 and service reception at .920, and third in blocks with 48.

Hillsdale's Melissa Bartlett was named GLIAC Player of the Year. Rebeccah Rapin of Grand Valley State earned Freshman of the Year honors, while GVSU's Allyson Riley was named Libero of the Year. Sagainw Valley State coach Will Stanton received the Coach of the Year Award.
